This is probably one of the services that we enjoy taking care of the most! Having a beautiful deck or patio in your back yard is truly special! This is where parties will take place, memories will be made and milestones will be celebrated. That is why if you are going to build any of these areas from scratch you need to make sure that it has all of the different features that you would want out of a deck or a patio.
Scouting The Area
The first step that we take when building a new deck or patio is to scout the land and area of which we have to work with. If there is an existing deck or patio already there, we have to decide what we are going to keep and what we are going to throw away. During this process, our team can assess if the vision you have for your deck or patio is a reality and can be brought to life or if we need to make some recommendations to you based on the land layout we have to work with.
If you are looking to build a patio in place of an existing lawn there are a couple of things that we want to you to keep in mind. Number one is that we can adjust both the lawn and the patio to make sure they can coexist and really go together in the overall outdoor area. Our team also knows when to pull the trigger on a lawn entirely and just build a concrete structure in its place. We will make the proper recommendations and walk our client through our thought process.
The Traditional Wooden Deck
The old wooden deck is being replaced these days by hard wood flooring even for outdoor areas. In our eyes, the whole idea behind a deck is to build a living area that you can fully enjoy. We do offer different wood materials depending on what you are looking for, you can decide between the more natural route of cedar, pine and spruce or go more composite decking. Composite decking is a combination of wood and resin. The resin helps with protection from the weather so this could help your deck sustain much longer. Again, our team will walk you through the options and make the recommendations best for your home and budget.
Restoring Existing Decks & Patios
We have actually talked a little bit about the fact that we can also work with what is there. A lot of times new floors can actually go a long way into restoring an old deck. Laying new concrete work can do the same for a patio. We can also work on staircases and building grills and fireplaces to truly give older places an entirely different look!
